ScribbleSesh(TM) Geared towards students (middle and high school) with a keen interest in Creative Writing, this four-session program sets out to help participants learn how to bring their characters to life on the page, find their own writing voice and style, develop a personal writing process, and set realistic publishing goals. Time permitting, students may also be given a crash-course lesson in self-publishing as an alternative to traditional publishing. ChitChat Club(TM) Based on the author’s unpublished book of the same name, the ChitChat Club(TM) is a four-session program designed to offer middle school girls a safe space to talk about some of the day-to-day issues that make those difficult tween years so tricky. Topics include self-esteem, self-empowerment, setting and reaching personal goals, making friends, dealing with bullies (on and offline), finding a hobby, identifying one’s talents and strengths, and coping with disappointment. Creative Writing Classroom Visit Kamichi loves to talk to young people about writing! In her classroom visits, the author will answer questions about her personal writing process, show samples of her published and unpublished work, and talk a little about self-publishing and the struggle to be a career writer.
